Shipping Logistics and Regulatory Compliance

We offer the service of shipping products on your behalf. However, please be aware that state regulations on the delivery of wine and spirits vary, and some states may restrict such deliveries at certain times. Therefore, we cannot guarantee shipments to all states at all times. You are solely responsible for complying with local regulations and tax requirements for shipments outside of New York.

If you encounter issues shipping to your state, please contact our shop at 212-785-7285. We can discuss alternative arrangements, including holding the wine for pickup or shipping to a neighboring state.

Legal Age Requirement

By using this site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years of age. When placing an order for wine or spirits, you also represent and warrant that both you and the recipient of your order are at least 21 years old. An adult signature is required for all wine or spirits deliveries. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Corkery Wine & Spirits, Inc., and its affiliates, owners, officers, agents, and employees from any losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from any breach of this provision.

Place of Sale

Title to and ownership of all products passes from the seller to the buyer in the state where the sale occurs. As the buyer, you assume all responsibility for transporting the products from the state of sale to your selected destination. By placing an order, you authorize us to arrange transportation of the products on your behalf and represent and warrant that such sale and transportation are for your personal use and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Alternatively, you may choose to pick up the products at our location or arrange for independent delivery. Sales tax will be applied based on the laws of our location. We make no representations regarding the legal rights of any person to deliver or import wines or other alcoholic beverages into any state. You are solely responsible for determining the legality and tax consequences of having these items delivered to your destination.

Weather Holds

To ensure the safety of your wine, we will not ship during extreme weather conditions unless you specifically instruct us otherwise in writing. If weather conditions are unsuitable for shipping after you place an order, we will notify you via email and hold your wine in our temperature-controlled warehouse until conditions improve. No storage fees will be charged during this period. During the summer months, we offer the option to add ice packs to your shipment for an additional cost of $7 for packages up to 6 bottles and $9 for packages up to 12 bottles. We will inform you of this option via email after you place an order.

Shipping Times and Express Options

Ground shipments within the continental United States can take between 2 to 16 business days, depending on the destination state. For an estimated shipping time or to request expedited processing, shipping, or delivery, including Express Shipping, please call us for rates. We strive to schedule shipments to avoid weekend storage in warehouses. However, we will accommodate your request to ship at any time.

Loss, Damage, Breakage, and Insurance

Since the title transfers to you upon sale, we are not responsible for any breakage or damage to your goods by any carrier we arrange on your behalf. Upon request, insurance can be arranged with a carrier. Please call us before placing an order at 212 785 7285.

Your shipment of alcoholic beverages, whether to yourself or as a gift, can only be received by an adult 21 years or older with valid government-issued identification. Any delivery that cannot be completed will incur additional charges for which you will be responsible, including fees for returning the order to us and additional fees for any further delivery attempts.
